Cookery clients are “smarter than the average bear…” and they can spell antidisestablishmentarianism.

The Spelling Bee

Weekly spelling bee competitions will take place in the Cookery Wine Bar every Thursday evening from November 4 through January 6.

Contestants are asked to sign up by 7 pm, with the competition starting at 7:30, leaving a dangerous half an hour and all of that delicious wine as the first hurdle to overcome. If you can spell well there are some handsome rewards for the winners. Gift cards and vouchers for food and drink will be awarded to the top three finishers.

The Cookery Wine Bar will also feature happy hour prices all evening that include $5 glasses of wine, $3 tap beers and a selection of small plate specialties from $4 to $6. But, there are no purchases required to compete or attend the spelling bees.

The Cookery is open Thursday through Saturday throughout November, December and the first weekend of January. The restaurant and wine bar are located at 4135 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. For more information about the spelling bee or The Cookery, call 920.868.3634 or visit CookeryFishCreek.com.
