Kick Cabin Fever at Baileys Harbor Winter Carnival Feb. 7-9, 2014

POSTED ON January 7th  - POSTED IN Dining, Discounts & Specials, Entertainment, News, Special Events, Wines & Spirits

baileysharbor-logo_revised-596x365-342x210Baileys Harbor is warming up this Door County winter with their very first Winter Carnival on February 7-9, 2014, with bonfires, live music, shopping, and winter games!

Carnival season traditionally begins on January 6th after Twelve Night and runs through Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, which ends at midnight before Ash Wednesday. Called Carnivale in Latin countries, this is a season of merriment, dancing, and feasting preceding the Catholic fasting season of Lent—hence the translation of “Carne — Vale!” to  “Meat — farewell!”
