This recipe for Cranberry Marsala Chutney was inspired by Owner Janice Thomas’ visit to the Fiorio Marsala facility last May on her annual trip to Sicily.

RECIPE:
2 cups fresh cranberries
½ cup Marsala wine
1/3 cup dried cranberries
½ cup local honey
1 ripe pear, peeled, cored and diced
Place whole fresh cranberries, Marsala, dried cranberries in a medium saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
Place warmed mixture in a food processor and pulse 4-5 times to chop coarsely.
Return cranberry mixture to the saucepan and add the honey. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Do not overcook, it will taste fresh. Cool and add 1 cup diced pear.
Serve at room temperature at the side of Petit Frère®.
Options:
You can add a pinch of pumpkin pie spice
Add 2 Tbsp. cherry or raspberry jam
Add 1 tsp. Grand Marnier
