For every Black and White Cupcake sold during the month of August, they will donate 50 cents to United Way. The funds donated will go towards meeting United Way’s Annual Campaign goal for 2014.

They focus their efforts in the areas in the Basic Needs, Community Wellness, Health, and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA). Cupcake Heaven’s charity partner in June is the Family Centers of Door County! The shop is donating a portion of all sales generated by their Shortcake Cupcakes (Strawberry, Raspberry or Lemon) during the month of June 2014. They are also a collection location for any gift items or monetary donations you wish to make to the Family Centers’ Children’s Christmas Stores (it is never too soon to start stocking those shelves!), and with your donation you can enter a drawing for a prize!

The Nicks will be playing on Wednesday, September 4 at 6:30 pm. The Nicks are a guitar and mandolin duo performing an eclectic mix of music.

Owners Jody and Patsy Wuollett said that the decision to remain open was an easy one after an inaugural summer season that far exceed their personal expectations.
“Throughout the summer, we enjoyed so much support from local and seasonal residents, and were asked so many times if we would be open in the off-season, it was an easy decision to remain open,” Jody said. “We already have reservations in November, and even have several Christmas Eve parties on the books.”
In keeping with the season, CHOP’s menu will be revised, adding several dishes that could only be described as “comfort food” including Crispy Roast Duck, Braised Pork Shanks, and a Kobe Beef Burger. Additionally, daily specials will be available including Pan Fried Perch on Fridays, and the ever popular Surf and Turf Combo will now be served on Saturday evenings.
