Bill Wilson, co-founder of Midwest Permaculture will speak informally about permaculture principles of design and about how communities can achieve sustainability or “permanent culture.” The event takes place Tuesday, November 30 from 4:30 – 6 pm. Green Drinks is cooperatively sponsored by Glas and Sustain Door.

There is no admission fee. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the concurrent “happy hour” at Glas during which time the establishment offers $2 lattés and cappuccinos. Sustain Door will provide complimentary treats.

Wilson is in Door County to deliver a free public seminar about Permaculture and the Transition Town initiative to achieve a prosperous post oil society. The Transition model recognizes that climate change and Peak Oil require immediate action, and that we must act at the local level to create resilience. Local economic development, supporting local food production and capturing valuable rain water are just a few of the subjects that will be presented at the seminar Thursday evening, December 2 at 7 pm at Crossroads at Big Creek, Sturgeon Bay.
