Saturday is Baileys Harbor’s Halloween Party & Spooky Café . Kids can Trick-or-Treat from 4-6pm throughout town and the Halloween Party will go on in the Town Hall from 5-7pm, featuring a costume contest for adults and children with prizes and a brand new Scavenger Hunt! Hot dogs, snacks, and beverages (including beer & wine for the grownup ghouls) will be available as well. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult please.
This weekend is also Fish Creek’s Jack O’Lantern Days starting Friday night Oct. 30 at Hands On Art Studio for the Adults Only Art Night at 6:30pm, and continuing all day on Halloween with mask-making, pumpkin-carving, Trick-or-Treating from 2-4pm, a Costume Contest and a Costume Parade, and wraps up at dusk on Saturday with the Great Pumpkin Lighting in downtown Fish Creek.

Door County proudly welcomes the Bassmaster Angler of the Year Championship to Sturgeon Bay this weekend, Sept. 17-20, 2015. While you’re in town, don’t miss the Local Farmers Market all weekend starting at noon on Friday, 8am on Saturday, and 11am on Sunday, and check out kids activities, demo boat tours, and more at CenterPointe Marina, where weigh-ins will also take place, including the final weigh-in and Awards on Sunday. Door County’s Concerts in the Park series began this week and will continue tonight Thursday, June 18th when Jeanne Kuhns’ band Small Forest plays at Egg Harbor’s Harborview Park from 5-7pm (inside at Landmark Resort in case of rain). Door County’s annual Side Pork Fest will be held on Saturday, June 6th at Martin Park in Sturgeon Bay, WI this year, and will feature live music from 11am-3pm by the White Chocolate Band and from 3-7pm by the Dow Jones Band. The Arts and Crafts Zone will be open from 10am-6pm as will the Kids Zone which offers more than 10 different activities from trampolines to rock climbing and more! From 8:30-11am participate in the annual Hog Wild Run, benefiting the YMCA Door Fins, which includes a 10k and 5k Run along with the Kids Run! All Kids event runners receive a medal and T-shirt. 5k and 10k Runners also receive a t-shirt and medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Get in on the Sonny’s Pizza Street Basketball Tournament to work up an appetite, and the Food and Beverage Tent opens at 11am so you can enjoy delicious Side Pork all day long! Admission is free, just bring your lawn chairs so you can sit back and listen to the music, and don’t forget to bring home the bacon after this fun-filled day!

2 c. grated Monterey Jack
2 1/2 to 3 c. grated cheddar cheese (divided)
2 bunches green onions, chopped
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. chopped red pepper
1/4 c. chopped yellow pepper
1-8 oz. pkg. fresh mushrooms (thinly sliced)
1 lg. tomato, thinly sliced
7 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. half & half
1 tsp. dry mustard
