The Cookery Restaurant & Wine Bar is opening Friday, April 26 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Wine Bar will open daily starting at 3pm for small plate/appetizers menu and cocktails.
The Door County Half Marathon is coming up fast on May 4th. The Cookery is putting on a Runner’s Feast on May 3rd for dinner. They will be offering three pasta features for runners to load up on carbs before the big race. The first choice will be a whole wheat linguine with wild shrimp sauteed with garlic, pimenton (Spanish Paprika) and red pepper flakes, finished with dry sherry and Parmesan. The second option is a vegetarian version of the shrimp linguine with a variety of fresh vegetables. The third option is a whole wheat linguine tossed with house made kale pesto and roasted tomatoes, grilled wild salmon or chicken can be added to this entree.
After the race is done, relax and sip a glass of wine in the Wine Bar with live music by David Hatch & Lynn Gudmundsen. Music starts at 5pm and will feature acoustic classic rock, bluegrass, a bit of country and a tad of folk.
The Cookery’s Lodging options include two rental units for the upcoming season. They have one two bedroom suite with a water view and a one bedroom cottage.
