Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay will be serving their Thanksgiving Day Buffet from 11am-3pm. Dinner is $17.95 for adults and $8.95 for children 4-12. The Baileys Harbor Community Association has announced their Annual Complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner, which will be held at the Cornerstone Pub for all family and friends of Baileys Harbor. Doors will open at 2pm and dinner will be served until 5pm. The menu will include turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, rolls, assorted salads and desserts. Milk and coffee will be provided, and there will be a cash bar for more beverages. Most festivals tend to have two things in common – Music & Food – and these are two things to be found in abundance at the 69th Annual Sister Bay Fall Fest, Oct. 27-19, 2014. Throughout the weekend you’ll find Food & Drink vendors at various locations throughout the village (10-5 Fri./Sat. and 10-4 Sun.), and lots more to tempt the taste buds and please the palate at local restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops!
There are two special meals this weekend that you won’t want to miss: Friday from 5-8 pm, experience a Door County tradition – a real Fish Boil at the Fire Station on Mill Road, sponsored by Sister Bay Lions Club. On Saturday, from 7-11am, enjoy a fabulous Pancake Breakfast at the Village Hall Saturday, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Northern Door.
Celebrate the fall season in Door County at Oktoberfest, Saturday, October 4th from 1-9pm at Gibraltar Grill, Fish Creek! Purchase a $15 wrist band to get “in and out” admission privileges, access to 6 hours of live music, and $10 in food and drink tickets. The project, which took ten months to complete, included two very important people in the process: Ben Anschutz of Anschutz Plumbing in Baileys Harbor and Patrick Strantz, a building contractor, full time maintenance manager at the YMCA in Fish Creek and long time maintenance manager for the Berndts.
Together they have created a custom solar water heating system that not only addresses the water heating needs of the two restaurants but will also provide the hot water for the employee housing and the Berndt’s living quarters.
