Baileys Harbor opens its doors to the 2nd Annual Door County Beer Festival on Saturday June 15th from Noon to 4pm. It will be a day filled with great beer, music, and culinary experiences from places like Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza and Grille, Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese, The Cookery Restaurant & Wine Bar, Parador, Grasse’s Grill, Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub, Wickman House, Door County Creamery, and Cheesecakes Etc.
Tickets are on sale now online or locally at the following Door County establishments:
- Wild Tomato Restaurant in Fish Creek
- Husby’s in Sister Bay
- Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub
There are several types of admission for the festival this year.
General Admission- Tickets are $35.00 in advance and $40.00 at the door. Ticket price includes a Door County Beer Festival beer glass, wrist band for unlimited 3 oz tastings, access to all seminars, food vendors and live music. Great locally sourced food will be available to purchase at the festival. You must be 21 to enter festival grounds.
Designated Driver- Tickets for designated drivers are $15 and include a commemorative glass, two free non-alcoholic beverages, and access to all seminars, food vendors and live music.
VIP Tickets- (SOLD OUT) VIP tickets will give guests access to special events from Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese shop. You’ll also get a Door County Beer Festival beer glass, unlimited tastings, access to all VIP and non-VIP events, food vendors and live music. VIP guests also receive early entrance to the festival and special tastings. More details of the VIP events will be announced soon so check often. You won’t want to miss this opportunity. Tickets are $50.00 and space is limited to the first 50 people.

10:30 am: VIP Pass-holders admitted to the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. SOLD OUT
VIP event features Chris Rovell of Roelli Cheese, Marieke Penterman of Holland Family Cheese, and Sara Hill of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. We’ll discuss and taste award winning cheeses and pair them with beers from Beechwood Brewing Company. Event ends at noon.
12 – 4 pm: General Admission ticket-holders admitted to the tasting tent and grounds. Food vendors open, and seminars taking place in the Baileys Harbor Town Hall.

12-12:45 Mary Louisa Nelson Deviley, founder of Tapuat Kombucha in Sister Bay, Wis.
Deviley will discuss step-by-step instructions for how to get started making this inexpensive, easy and fun to make fermented beverage in your own home.
1-1:45 George Bregar, Director of Brewing for Alterra Coffee
Alterra Coffee Roasters provided free pour over coffee for 2012 guests.
Bregar comes from Milwaukee’s iconic coffee roasters and offers a coffee tasting and seminar on the flavors of the addictive brew.
2-2:45 Ira Koplowitz of Bittercube
Bittercube Bitters are developed in Milwaukee, WI and created in Madison, WI utilizing spirits from Yahara Bay Distillers, where all aspects of production are completed. Bittercube literally creates the bitters by hand, peeling hundreds of pounds of citrus, weighing dozens of spices, and decorticating vanilla beans, among other time consuming tasks! Ira will be discussing their Bittercubes that utilize Door County Hops.
3-3:45 Dan Ritchie, Draught Brewing Systems
Dan Ritchie will riff on the art of pouring a great draught beer.

Birchwood Lodge, nestled in the heart of Sister Bay, is just footsteps from downtown. Fabulous shopping, dining, and all the essentials make this the ideal spot to stay. They have Premier Suites at $175/night plus tax, Grand 1 Bedrooms at $199/night plus tax and the 2 Bedroom Village Homes at $255/night plus tax.
Shoreline Resort, located on the top of the Peninsula, has stunning views of the Green Bay Waters and provides that seclusion you’re looking for. Onsite Marina and water view rooms are still available for this weekend. They have motel rooms starting at $139/night and Condos at $300/night, with a three night minimum.
Coachlite Inn is very centrally located between Sister Bay and Ephraim, making it minutes from every town. They have some Classic rooms, a Kitchenette, and Lodge Suite available for this weekend. If you mention Door County Lodging and make a reservation for two or more nights they will offer a 10% discount on your stay.
Nordic Lodge located at the south end of Sister Bay has rooms for $109.00 + tax with either 2 Double beds or 1 King bed. A small continental breakfast is also served.
Beachfront Inn is a pet friendly hotel on the shores of Lake Michigan in Baileys Harbor. They have a one bedroom condo with a two night minimum for $200 per night and a two bedroom condo for $250 per night, two night minimum.
Pine Grove Resort , located on Eagle Harbor in Ephraim, has several rooms available starting at $145/night.
Open Hearth Lodge at the bottom of Little Sister Hill lies in between Sister Bay and Ephraim so you are minutes from everything that Door County has to offer. They have rooms with two queens still available.
Scandinavian Lodge located in the heart of Sister Bay has two bedroom condos available for the weekend starting at $189/night.
Bay Shore Inn on the shores of Green Bay waters is located minutes from Sturgeon Bay. There are many activities to choose from both on the property and in town. They have a three bedroom house available for tonight only!
