According to Travel Wisconsin Door County is at 70% Color and will peak the second week of October – so get up here and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! Pumpkin Patch Festival in Egg Harbor runs Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10am-5:30pm and Sunday, Oct. 12 from 10am-4:30pm. The festival is free to attend and great for families and groups of all age, featuring live music with Modern Day Drifters, Big Mouth, and even a children’s musician, food and drinks, and inflatables and carnival rides all day Saturday and Sunday.
The Girls of Small Forest, Jeanne Kuhns & Marybeth Mattson will be playing their own brand of indie/folk music outside in the gazebo in front of MacReady’s Artisan Bread Co. on Saturday 1-3pm, and Kuhns returns performing solo on Sunday from 1-3pm. Get your a hot drink and your caffeine fix at the Café at Greens N Grains, open 9am-5pm daily, serving lunch and snacks, raw foods, fresh fruit smoothies in addition to espresso drinks. Stop in Shipwrecked Restaurant & Brew Pub for a Pumpkin Ale (and a 6 pack to go!) and stay for dinner after the festivities wrap up!
Need to escape the crowds in Egg Harbor? Head north to bowl a few frames with friends at Sister Bay Bowl, and settle down at the Mink River Basin in Ellison Bay for killer lunch specials, and catch the Green Bay Packers game on Sunday at noon.
Take a walk on the scenic side – just across the peninsula from Egg Harbor, Baileys Harbor is home to the Harbor Fish Market & Grille’s New England Lobster Boil, served every Friday through Sunday, plus Wednesdays!
